After getting robbed in the 3rd expedition, I thought it would be wise to explore new ground.
For the next 6 weeks, Christian (my South American friend) and I would explore new hunting grounds. To accomplish such an expedition, I acquired a small motorbike that would help me in the search. A fully loaded van that could barely keep its wheels on was a sure sign this would be a trip for the books!

The main target in this expedition was an area I discovered on google earth. Due to the topography and color of terrain, I presumed it to be favourable for recovering Meteorites.

Upon arriving at “The Bowl”, it was no longer than 10 minutes before I had my first find. It was one of my smaller discoveries, but a new one, in a new area! My confidence with this location began to grow!

Over the next 10 days, I continued to find small meteorites almost everyday. Each one appearing to be a different type than the other. This would suggest another dense meteorite collection area.

Although we were limited with time in “The Bowl”, it proved to be a great area for recovering meteorites. Expedition #5 is definitely in the near future!
